About Watershed Farm![]() Watershed Farm comprising of 2,750 acres, is located 25km east of Young in NSW, Australia. The beautiful property is owned in partnership between James and Jocelyn Daly with John and Helen North (of Bowness Thoroughbred Stud, also near Young, NSW).
Watershed Farm has been set up and designed to cater for the racehorse spelling and agistment division
John and Helen North of Bowness Stud have been operating as professional racehorse breeders and sale consigners for over thirty years. Their expertise and knowledge of the thoroughbred industry and highly successful record makes them a valuable resource of advice for clients.
James, Jocelyn, John and Helen work together to ensure thoroughbred broodmares, foals, weanlings, yearlings and
spellers receive the best of both worlds in care and expertise. We too breed and race thoroughbred horses and understand the work, dedication and attention to detail involved in breeding success. We are a 'hands-on" family owned and operated business that produces home grown grain and fodder. We understand the economics of horse breeding and the importance of keeping fees and charges at a viable level for our clients and ourselves.
Ultimately, your success is our success and without your business we don't have a business.
Watershed Farm itself is a mixed farming operation. We grow our own grain and fodder.
James and Jocelyn live on site and manage the operations on Watershed Farm.
